Joe was mainly just a random name I came up with. No, it's not particularly WH-40k, but I guess that's part of the joke.

If it bothers you mentally replace it with Jothinius or something of that ilk ;)

It's also a partial reference to the famous Sniper Joe. One of my Sniper Scouts, I would always try to make sure the Almighty Sniper Joe didn't die... and if the opposing player killed him, woe betide them! So in that way, it's an in-joke, but hopefully the comic can stand on its own merits without knowing of said joke.

Sorry for the long lack of updates, although I'm afraid it will last longer still. Blah blah blah RL busy etc. There won't be a comic this weekend but there *will* be next weekend as that is the start of a holiday and there'll be less pressure.
